Möglich ist das, weil das verbreitete PDF-Anzeigeprogramm, der Adobe Reader , zweitweise gleich mehrere schwere Sicherheitslücken aufwies. Wen der Acrobat Reader auf Ihrem PC nicht auf dem neuesten Stand ist, wird es gefährlich. Insgesamt glauben immer noch viele Nutzer, dass PDF-Dateien grundsätzlich harmlos sind. Die Virenverbreiter senden die verseuchten PDF-Dateien meist per Mail.
